    Brainspotting

    Brainspotting is a “bottom up” approach to therapy. What that means, is that we connect into the felt sense in the body, related to the target of the brainspotting session. We then determine on a scale of 0-10, how activating that target is for you. We then determine a point or points in your visual field that correlate to the activation, or a resource related to the target. This can be done through many different approaches, that we will decide on, together. Once we identify the point (s) in the visual field, you will begin processing the target, while I remained an attuned and supportive presence for you. There is generally less talking on the part of the therapist during a brainspotting session, as we remain in “the tail of the comet”, and stay open and curious, without trying to direct your processing.
