    Let's get started

I realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other issue, I will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.

    Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT is a short-term, problem-focused form of behavioral treatment that helps people recognize the connections between how their thoughts and feelings affect their behaviors. The goal is to help clients recognize inaccurate or negative thinking and to learn ways to change their thinking into more accurate and positive thinking.

    Counseling for Anxiety

Is anxiety taking over your life? Does it feel like you can’t control it no matter what you have tried. Together we will look to identify the root cause (s) of your anxiety and to identify effective coping skills to help you learn to manage the anxiety, in order to live a more fulfilling life.

    Counseling for Trauma

Most people will experience trauma in their lifetime whether it’s a car accident, abuse or neglect, or any event that is processed by that person as traumatic. Through the use of therapeutic techniques that engage the brain-body connection, we will work together to change how the brain and body respond to the perception of ongoing trauma (trauma triggers), related to the past traumatic event (s).

    EMDR

What is EMDR Therapy? Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach to help the brain and body change how we respond to events that would normally trigger a trauma response.

    Grief & Bereavement Counseling

Grief and loss are a common human experience that none of us would choose to go through. Sometimes, we need the help and support of a trusted professional to help us unlock our pain associated with the loss. Sometimes, we are aware that a loss will be occurring in the near future, as in the case of a loved one who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Grief work can help the bereaved or loved one of a terminally ill person, work through their feelings of loss and learn to adjust to and engage in a world without that loved one.

    Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, or MBCT, is designed for people who suffer from repeated bouts of depression and anxiety. Through learning mindfulness based coping skills, the client can learn ways to reduce the anxiety and depression and reengage in their lives in a truly meaningful way.

    Telehealth

Due to the ongoing pandemic, it is not always an option to meet face to face in the office. The next best option can be telehealth. By logging into a HIPAA compliant video conferencing platform, we are able to meet together to help you on your therapy journey, as you work towards your treatment goals.

    Brainspotting

"Where you look affects how you feel". This is the motto of the brainspotting approach to therapy. By accessing your brain and body's natural wisdom at healing itself, through targeted eye positions, we will work together to help resolve issues ranging from anxiety, trauma responses, grief and many other treatment targets.
